Project Summary: This is what I'm talking about!!! Retaining walls.... there is absolutely no better way to give you useable outdoor living space in areas that are otherwise useless! A sharp drop-off to the backyard created wasted space, no access to the backyard, and a true safety hazard. This hardscape addressed all of these issues, and also provided an area for colorful plantings. Removal of the shrubs at the entry opened up the area providing space for rest, relaxation, and entertaining on the patio, and eliminating a closed-in feeling. Upon completion of the hardscape, the entire backyard was loamed and seeded. The wall was constructed with economical and functional split face Allan Block, while the patio area was built with the ever popular Chateau brand, Pompei style pavers in Ashen Beige.
